Scripture reminds us of a deeper love than the world's. Paul writes that we are to 'be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ,' - Colossians 2:2 (NIV). Our completeness is not found in being chosen by another person — it is found in knowing Christ. We are united with God — the Author of love itself. The One who loved us first. The One whose love does not fade. This is love that makes us whole.
